BWDD PRE-Launch Campaign

Over the last 6 months, I have been conducting research into the UK website design and development industry and it's potential customers.

Many businesses, though experts in their own field, are left floundering when it comes to dealing with their online presence.

We spoke to over 340 decision makers in UK small to medium sized businesses and the results were astounding. Here are just some of the findings:

  • 37% of those we spoke to who had already had a website designed for them, were dissatisfied with either the end result or the service they received from their web designer.
  • A staggering 74% of all the businesses we spoke to said that they would not know how to tell a good designer or developer from a bad one.
  • 36% of the businesses we spoke to said that they would definitely use our services if they were available.
  • 59% of the businesses we spoke to said that they would probably use our services if they were available.

My findings have shown that there is a market for a site that:

  • Communicates directly with small to medium sized UK businesses who want/need website design and development
  • Speaks in plain English, and explains the industry jargon
  • Offers free referrals to UK regionally based website designers and developers
  • Excludes "hobbyist" web designers and unproven companies
  • Pre-vets website designers and developers for minimum standards in skills AND levels of customer satisfaction
  • Offers help and advice on how to choose a website designer or developer
  • Encourages customer feedback
